Day Two in Paris was a lot cooler than our first. From here on out, we were just a day behind warm weather everywhere we went in Europe. We packed lightly because up until we arrived, the forecast for every stop on our trip predicted the weather to be around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I was pretty cold all of September.

This day, we visited the Catacombs of Paris, underground ossuaries that contain the remains of over six million people. It’s astounding to see, and to be honest, a little unnerving at first. I’ve seen enough scary movies to know to keep my guard up in case a vampire is lurking in a dark corner.

After the Catacombs, by chance we wandered into Le Petit Journal where a live jazz band called Marc LaFerriere Quintet was performing. They played New Orleans jazz with the occasional classic chanson. Basically, it was one of my Pandora stations come to life. It was perfect!
