A few Seattlites are in China for the week on a business trip. It’s their first time to Asia, and since J and I love Hong Kong, we thought it would be fun to show them around. We ate a lot, drank a lot, and walked a lot.

One of the fellas wanted to visit Simpson Sin in Tsim Sha Tsui, who make suits for ex Presidents Carter and Clinton and was recently featured on Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover. This place was pretty amazing, and not just because he greeted us with cold beer (we were sweating buckets), although that did help.

Later we had Peking Duck, then visited Wooloomooloo in Wan Chai, which has an excellent view from their terrace of the harbor. Since the night sky was clear, we ventured over to the Kowloon side and visited Ozone at the Ritz Carlton in the ICC. Ozone is the highest bar in the world, at 118 stories. It was an amazing view of Hong Kong. If you’re ever in Hong Kong, I highly suggest you try both Wooloomooloo and Ozone. Both views are spectacular and give you very different feelings. Wooloomooloo’s view is intimate while Ozone’s is vast and distant.

After Ozone, we had to show them Soho and Lan Kwai Fong. We lost two along the way, but one of the guys stayed up with us until 5 AM. What a trooper, right? I think he’s made for this city.

The next morning, J and I hit up Soho for Mexican food and hangover drinks. That’s not an oxymoron. It works!

Sigh. Another fantastic weekend in Hong Kong. HK, I love you.

And now,  photo dump!
