This past autumn, Jesse and I had the opportunity to travel to Europe to see our team in Romania and Turkey. As luck would have it, half of our family were all going to be in Paris at the same time. On top of that, some friends would be in Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest.
Feeling the stars were aligned, Christopher, Jesse and I gathered our miles and booked a multi-city adventure through France, Germany, Turkey, Romania, and Milan. Christopher flies often and is a pro at finding great flight deals. After pooling our miles, we were able to book our flights for less than $300. Thank you, Chris! All in all, we were out for about a month, spending most of the time in Turkey and Romania, but were able to sneak a couple of days away in Paris, Munich, and Milan.
The flight over as roomy – Jesse and I each got our own row. We landed in Paris around 6AM, took a quick nap, then ventured out for some food and sightseeing. These are some snapshots of my first day in the city. After lunch, we walked around quite a bit, visited the industrial design museum Musee des Arts et Metiers, walked long the Seine River, and ended the evening at the Eiffel Tower.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to visit any other museums, but I suppose that just means we’ll have to come back to remedy that. oh darn.
