I sure am!
Alas, I don’t think Halloween is celebrated with the same fervor here in China as it is in the US. I still may dress up and eat all the candy myself, just to keep up with tradition. 😉
Halloween is my favorite holiday- right up there with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, St. Patty’s Day, Easter, President’s Day, Memorial Day, my birthday (I’m making it a holiday!!), Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
Due to my parents’ religion, we didn’t really celebrate holidays growing up. In fact, I remember my very last Christmas (right before my folks converted). There was no Christmas tree. I got a dial radio, a doll, and homemade cookies from my aunts.
I think this is why I LOVE LOVE LOVE holidays as an adult and try to celebrate them to the max. In all seriousness though, if I HAD to choose.. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, even if I can’t celebrate it with my parents. 🙁 My younger sis and I built our own traditions and gladly share the day with our friends who are far from family.
So what are you planning to be for Halloween?
