The street I live on is lined with trees for blocks. I woke up one morning last week to see that the city had commissioned for all of the trees to be butchered of their branches.
I really hope that their branches were cut off for pruning or something, because there isn’t a good deal of nature in downtown Changping. It’s a pity to see this street so barren. This actually bothered me a lot and I’m not sure why exactly. Maybe I watched Ferngully one to many times as a kid, but it’s a shame to amputate what, 20 trees for what seems like no immediate reason. The city has been doing a lot of renovations to the streets over the past 6 months, so maybe they have something in store.
