I took a quick break from the grind to satisfy my craving for my latest obsession- Sweden. I follow quite a few Swedish bloggers, even though I have no idea what they’re saying. I fear Google Translate doesn’t do a good job because one post from Kenza was translated to “Little Shits” when referencing young kids. LOL! Or maybe that’s what she really said. Either way, it’s a funny win.
Today, I’ve been on VisitSweden.com. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again- I want to go to there! I’ll admit that I really know absolutely nothing about Sweden, aside from visiting websites geared towards potential tourists. But it looks so beautiful. And the food! And the landscape! And the architecture! And the food! Yes, I know I said it twice.
I know I’m not the only one with an insatiable curiosity. I can learn about a country across the world that I’ve never visited, chat with people in Malmö, watch movies and read books from Swedish directors and authors, take language lessons from a Swedish tutor in Sweden. Imagine what it would have been like 50 years ago? I feel incredibly lucky to be alive in this era. Thanks to technology, the world is so much smaller. *waving to my readers in Sweden*
Heck, *waving to my readers everywhere*
I may not be able to afford a visit this year, but I’m setting myself a goal to visit Sweden in 3 years. Who knows? Maybe in 3 years the title of this blog will be It Pleases Me – An American girl living in Sweden. Imagine that!
What countries do you want to visit? And what steps are you taking to realize that dream?
