Oh my, what an amazing Saturday I had! At the August Girl Power Hour social, I won free admission to a Stratejoyworkshop, led by the amazing Molly Hoyne. The topic? Deep inhale: 101 Things to Do Before I Go: Creating a Meaningful, Powerful, Inspiring Life List. Exhale.
A little about Molly (from Stratejoy.com)
I’m a truthseeking, cheerleading catalyst for authentic living. I founded Stratejoy in the quest to start a happiness movement, connect with extraordinary women & promote the practice of creating a life you love…I love laughing loudly, the mountains, libraries, puddle jumping, wearing costumes, world travel, & having deep conversations over endless lattes or red wine. I despise apathy, imitation crabmeat, & driving in traffic. I adore my family, my king bed, great design & live music. I am a lifelong learner, exuberant dancer, horrible parker & adrenaline thrill seeker.
I’ve been following Molly on twitter for some time now and had already heard many accolades re: her and her services, so you can imagine how stoked I was to win this awesome prize. I ended up going to the workshop on my own to encourage myself to proactively socialize. You know, step out of my comfort zone. And it worked! I met many wonderful people. Some of us had no idea what we were going to put on our lists. But by the end of the workshop, all of us at my table had an upwards of 101 things. Once you start it’s hard to stop!
So how did Molly get the ball rolling? We were all given a few “forms” to help us ID our values, explore our “Slices of Life” and ultimately construct our lists. I won’t go in to much more detail- you’re just going to have to check it out for yourself. Besides, Molly and Co. will do a much better job at explaining this to you than I ever could.
But I would like to present to you my bucket list. Being the Category Slut that I am, I’ve divvied my list into 5 sections. And no worries, I won’t list all 101 action items.

I have a bunch more (self improvement stuff). I’ll catalog my efforts to change the aspects about myself, my attitude and POV’s here as I work on them.
I encourage you all to start on your own bucket list. And keep your list where you can see it, so you can have a daily reminder to keep on keepin’ on. Best of luck!

Hey there! I knew exactly who you were (at the workshop) as soon as I saw “white chanel watch” on your list here. So lovely.
Good for you with the yoga, I had to temporarily stop my Almost Daily Yoga, but it’s for a good cause (healing my shoulder). In other awesome news, I believe I’m going to go to China at the end of the year AND I’m going to swim with the dolphins in 2010. I can’t believe how motivating making a Life List was!
How’s your life list progress going?
China sounds exciting! Do you know where you’ll be going? Shanghai is a lot of fun. Did you know they shut off the city lights at 11 to save energy? Imagine if we did that State side. Perish the thought!
Here is a great site to create, manage and share your bucket list.
